Vizada to offer new Iridium 9555 Handset

With its new design, the Iridium 9555 is significantly smaller in size, and includes new features such as an internally-stowed antenna.

Key features of the 9555 handset include:

30 % smaller than 9505A handset
27 % lighter weight design
Internally-retractable antenna
Integrated speaker phone
Illuminated, weather-resistant keypad redesigned for ease-of-use
Larger screen: 200 characters
Menu configurable in any of 21 languages
Enhanced functionality for improved messaging (short email & SMS)
Additional address book fields
Mini-USB data port

The new handset is expected to become available in our logistics centers by mid to late November 2008 and will ultimately replace the current 9505A handset.

Please note, the Iridium 9505A handset will remain available while supplies last.
