The Source®
“Satcom1 uses The Source® daily to troubleshoot aircraft. If there is a connection problem, we can see in The Source® if the issue is linked to the satellite, the ground network or the hardware itself. We also use the tool as an ‘information feed’ to provide our customers live logs of their aircraft calls and help monitor costs or cause codes in the network,” said Karina Larsen.
“If the problem detected comes from the hardware, we can coordinate with the customer's installation center and ensure that a back-up antenna is ready when the aircraft comes in for maintenance. This can be taken care of in the time span of a day, which reduces lead time and ensures that the aircraft is not delayed unnecessarily. In this way, The Source® helps customers reduce costs.”
