TSF specializes in emergency telecommunications, supporting aid agencies and local authorities in areas where conflict or natural disasters have caused a breakdown in traditional communications.

Since 1998, TSF has deployed to over 50 countries on 5 continents to the benefit of over 500 NGOs and UN agencies and millions of victims. Over the last 10 years, TSF has been deployed 350 days per year on average thanks to 3 deployment bases in France, Nicaragua and Thailand.

The event included a demonstration of the communications equipment used in a typical TSF deployment and an exhibition of photos, testimonials and during the ten year period.

“During emergency situations there is an urgent need for food, water, shelter, and medical help - none of this is possible without quick and reliable communications. Our role is to help other organizations save lives and provide direct support to victims,” said Monique Lanne-Petit, Founding Director of TSF.

With Vizada’s support, TSF employees sent more than 30 000 megabytes of data via satellite during humanitarian missions in 2007, totaling approximately 300 hours’ satellite communications time.

Vizada has extensive experience accompanying NGOs and humanitarian organizations in places where conflict or natural disaster cause a breakdown in traditional communications. Click here to find out more .
